The reason for creating this project was the expression of the personal creative identity. The aesthetics of this collection was influenced by my personal enthusiasm for comicbooks and cartoons, wich inspired me to be creative as a kid. While creating the colorful cartoonish prints I added some morbid and creepy details to symbolise the more adult side of my artworks today. The shape of the garments remained simple and wide to let the prints pop. The stitching and embroidery were added to create a 3-dimensional contrast to the 2-dimensional prints. The stiff scuba fabric, that was used for the oversized jacket, served as a straight canvas, that made the print even more visible.
